'Buddy' workshops a big success

The first two ‘buddy’ workshops of the R.A.C.E. Mountmellick project were held on 2^nd and 16^th May.  The idea of the workshops is to train a number of ‘buddies’ in good composting and recycling methods.

Action Plan for R.A.C.E. Mountmellick Officially Launched

The Action Plan for the R.A.C.E. Mountmellick project was officially launched on 13^th March.  The Action Plan sets out waste reduction and recycling targets for the whole community, along with ideas for projects that can help do this.  The targets set for Mountmellick are.....

Midlands Youth Workshop

Last night the Race Agaisnt Waste team were in Portlaoise for the Midlands Challenge 360^o workshop. Justine Cavanagh of Race Against Waste introduced Challenge 360, Ann Marie Kenna, EAO for Laois  County Council talked about waste in the Midlands region and Rachel Kavanagh of Eco-UNESCO talked about waste projects that young people had done in the past.
