For the purpose of planning waste management in Ireland, some counties have grouped together to provide a shared solution and some counties are going it alone. Tidy Towns 2005 –
Race Against Waste Module

In 2004 a pilot module on waste management was introduced to the Tidy Towns competition. This module was run again on a pilot basis in 2005 and almost 100 applicants took part. Here’s what some of the award winners and highly commended communities are doing to reduce, recycle and compost waste.
